PPCR has been Independent Advisers on Dee Park since 2004. We worked with and supported residents through all stages of producing the Development Brief, the selection and procurement of the development partner by way of competitive dialogue and the creation of a Masterplan for the comprehensive regeneration of the estate including demolition of all the flats, providing new homes for rent and sale, improvements to retained houses and streets, new community and retail facilities and provision of a new school.
PPCR is currently supporting residents to develop meaningful joint working arrangements. We have helped produce a Neighbourhood Plan that concentrates on ‘joined up’ service provision by a wide range of providers. We have helped set up a Neighbourhood Board to manage and monitor services to ensure resident involvement in future management of the area.
PPCR is also working with all parties to look at the future ownership and management of the community facilities and retail units with the possibility of setting up a Development Trust as a community-led social enterprise.
